OUR STORY

Hi there! We’re Green Olive Creative - a small and mighty media production and social impact agency based in Los Angeles. Our founders, Jess and Justen, met working together in production in NYC in 2012, and have been partners in life and business ever since. As an agency, we’re eager to collaborate with people, projects, and brands using their platform to make a positive impact on the world. If that sounds like you, let’s connect!

OUR VALUES

  • Center Equity & Justice: We pursue equity and justice in all organizational activities and decisions – from casting choices and clients/campaigns we work with down to the content we create – because we recognize the power in our platform and collective action.

  • Stay Curious and Creative: We keep our minds and hearts open, constantly challenge our biases, and reduce the harm caused by being judgmental; we actively empower ourselves and each other to take bold risks in asking questions, learning, and creating new art that makes an impact.

  • Prioritize Inclusion & Accessibility: Leveraging our lived experience, we understand firsthand how vital accessible and inclusive environments are for all team members to feel safe, seen, supported, accommodated, and able to thrive.

  • Find Humor and Humility: Anchored in both the entertainment and social impact worlds, we recognize how transformative creating space for (appropriate) laughter and/or laughing at oneself can be to cut tension, deliver a message, and build meaningful connection across differences. We believe in the transformative power of comedy and laughter to change the world.

OUR LEADERSHIP

Jess Agi, MPA, CAPM (she/her)

Based in Los Angeles, Jess Agi is a seasoned media producer, talent manager, and social impact strategist. As Co-Founder and CEO of Green Olive Creative, she consults with nonprofits, podcasts, comedians, artists, political candidates, advocates, and more. Also the Creator of Stand Up For Change®, Jess is an award-winning freelance writer and certified project manager. She received her master’s degree in public administration from Seattle University, bachelor’s degree in communications from Marymount Manhattan College, and certificate in women’s entrepreneurship from Cornell University.

Born and raised in Alaska, Jess cut her teeth in NYC as a comedy and TV producer where she worked with top celebrity talent and national brands on world-class media content, events, tours, and campaigns. While still a full-time student, she became a full-time producer and tour manager at the top comedy brand CollegeHumor. After a powerful experience as a Story Producer for A&E’s hit reality series “Hoarders,” she felt called to leverage her vast skill to help create positive social change through combining advocacy and media. While continuing to produce live comedy shows and video content for Food Network, HGTV, Bravo, and more, she began to organize charity events and advocacy campaigns for social issues like universal free school lunch and gun violence prevention. To expand the impact of her work, Jess earned her master's degree in public administration and has since helped raise over $25 million for inspiring nonprofits (spanning gender and racial justice, reproductive health, children’s issues, youth development, disability advocacy, hunger relief, and more) and has managed multiple progressive political campaigns. Now based in Los Angeles, Jess is a social impact producer, talent manager focused on comedians, and communications consultant. She is relentless in her belief that comedy, media, and storytelling can change the world.

SERIOUSLY, WHAT’S UP WITH THE OLIVES?

Impact comes in all sizes: Much like a green olive can pack a seriously bold flavor in such a tiny package, we believe that every voice or platform can create a huge impact no matter the size.

It’s OK if it’s not for everyone: We also believe that not every brand, product, artist, or message is right for every audience and that’s okay! It’s why we work so hard to identify each client’s unique voice and target audience while always taking a community-informed approach. We’ll always support an artist or brand’s integrity and individuality.

Olives represent so much more: Across faiths and cultures, we’re obsessed with the symbolism of this fruit’s trees and branches. From friendship and peace to healing and hope, an olive represents something so powerful and vital for our collective humanity…which we hope our work can, in a small way, also achieve.

And honestly, we just really f***ing love olives. So grab a jar to split with us — or we’ll take your unwanted olives off your plate — and lets get creative!
